No Little People This Week

It has been depressing. No little people to keep me entertained! I have had to actually work -- yes, that four-letter-word! I have been washing bed linens and hanging them out to dry. I have cleaned the basement. I have mowed the yard (between thunder storms yesterday afternoon and this afternoon). I have dusted and swept and mopped -- all getting ready for Cornbread's visit!

I have a wedding to play at tomorrow, and practice is tonight. I guess after the wedding I will go to Wal-Mart and buy groceries for the weekend. The rehearsal dinner is at Tell City, so I can kill two birds with one stone. It is supposed to storm again tonight, so if it isn't storming I will go. . . Thank goodness the bride chose traditional classical music for the wedding so I don't have to learn anything else! The only thing is "Canon in D" which goes on forever; like 7 minutes, the version I have. I shopped for a dress but couldn't find one that I would spend money on so will have to wear the one I wore to Todd and Michelle's wedding.

I went to Owensboro Wednesday and picked out new counter tops for the kitchen. I also looked at Pergo flooring for the kitchen and sun room, a new sink, and another cabinet for the kitchen. I want to paint the cabinets an off white, but Mike is balking (because he would have to do it) so I will probably leave them the same as they are -- oak paneling from the 70s.

Ate lunch with Sister Sue (Karen) and Kody, her miniature collie. And got my hair cut -- really cut!

My tail is dragging after all the cleaning and mowing and stuff. And I guess I'll have to fix Mike some supper -- he wants to eat three times a day! ! That's my week. Hope yours was more exciting! (Not A Granny -- you can come to the barn party! I'll send you directions!) luv, mom/mrt
